Acceptable Use Policy
Effective April 26, 2026 (current)
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs use of the Codeova platform and Services. Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund. This AUP is incorporated into the Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Services to create, store, transmit, distribute, or otherwise process content that:
- is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent, or invasive of privacy;
- constitutes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or sexually exploits any minor;
- promotes violence, terrorism, or hatred against any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic;
- infringes intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, patent, or trade secret rights;
- violates publicity, privacy, or personal rights;
- contains malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful code;
- constitutes regulated content (financial advice, medical advice, legal advice) presented without required licenses or disclaimers where applicable.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or violate CAN-SPAM, CASL, TCPA, or other anti-spam/messaging laws;
- make robocalls, autodialed messages, or unsolicited text messages;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent affiliation;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
- circumvent rate limits, usage caps, or security measures;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Services;
- scrape, crawl, or extract data at scale beyond ordinary usage;
- use the Services to develop a competing product;
- test or probe vulnerabilities without prior written authorization from security@codeova.ai;
- use the Services for cryptocurrency mining or excessive computational load unrelated to the intended use;
- sublicense, resell, or redistribute the Services to third parties without express written permission;
- use the Services in jurisdictions where such use is prohibited;
- violate any applicable law or regulation.
3. AI-Specific Prohibitions
You may not use AI features to:
- generate content depicting non-consensual intimate imagery, deepfakes of real persons, or content designed to deceive about identity;
- generate content that could endanger life or safety;
- automate decisions producing legal effects (e.g., credit, employment, housing) without human review;
- generate biological, chemical, radiological, or nuclear weapon information;
- train competing AI systems using outputs from the Services;
- circumvent safety measures of underlying AI providers (OpenAI, etc.).
4. End-User Obligations
When you use the Services to interact with your end users, you must:
- obtain valid consent for personal data processing;
- provide your end users with privacy notices;
- honor opt-out requests;
- comply with applicable consumer protection and marketing laws;
- not use the Services to send fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful messages to your end users.
5. Enforcement
Codeova may, at its sole discretion:
- investigate suspected violations;
- suspend access immediately and without notice for material violations;
- terminate accounts for repeat or severe violations;
- report violations to law enforcement or affected third parties;
- preserve and disclose data as required by law or to protect Codeova, Customers, or third parties.
